A zonal level orientation workshop for Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) was organized by BMO, Darhal at CHC Thannamandi, Block Darhal, District Rajouri on 29th April 2016. The objective of the workshop was to orient ANMs on key functional issues during Ante Natal Care (ANC). Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) provided technical support in organizing the workshop and support in sensitization of all ANMs.
Participants were given demonstrations on filling up of Mother Child Protection (MCP) Card, use of growth charts and counselling of mothers, line listing of severely anaemic mothers and reporting. Presentations were also made on timely updation of Mother Child Tracking system (MCTS), minimizing high home deliveries and awareness about Performance Based Incentives (PBI).
CHO, Thannamandi Mr. Tanvir Khan welcomed the participants. Block Medical Officer, Darhal Dr. Iqbal Malik emphasized on the importance of follow ups and counselling for the comprehensive care of the mother and the child.
The workshop was attended by about 30 ANMs of the zone, Block Medical Officer, Chief Health Officer, Pharmacist, District Coordinator (RMNCH+A) and other personnel.
