The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was unveiled on 18 September 2014 by Shri Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,Government of India. The new plan aims at bringing down new born deaths from the current 29 per 1000 live births to a single digit number by 2030.
